The Newsroom
The Newsroom is a Portugal-based startup developing AI-powered solutions for journalism and information provenance. Co-founded by Jenny Romano (CEO, former Google and Salesforce) and Pedro Henriques (CTO, former LinkedIn and PayPal), both of whom also serve as AI for journalism educators. Their proprietary technology achieves state-of-the-art performance in information processing with lightweight, domain-specific AI models. The Newsroom has received backing from Google.org/Inco and the EU's EmpoWomen programme.
