HPC- based Efficiency Optimization of Industrial Fired Preheaters
Short description of the business experiment
The IGNITE project aims to enhance the design and operation of industrial fired preheaters by providing KALFRISA with two new tools: a real-time model of preheater operation and a predictive maintenance model based on both measured and synthetic data. Synthetic data will be generated through multiple Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. High-Performance Computing (HPC) will be used to run these simulations efficiently in terms of time and cost. The project involves not only the development of these models but also their integration into KALFRISA’s design cycles to improve design processes, and into a digital twin of the fired preheater to enhance operational performance.
