Optimization of Low-speed Characteristics & Performance of Aircraft

SECTOR: Energy / Manufacturing
TECHNOLOGY USED: HPC, AI, CFD
COUNTRY: Czech Republic

Short description of the business experiment

The BRISTELL BR66 project aims to develop an advanced flap system to optimise low-speed flight and efficiency. The challenge lies in the traditionally slow and resource-intensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) process. To address this, AI will serve as a surrogate model, accelerating flap design optimisation by predicting aerodynamic performance based on CFD data.

High-Performance Computing (HPC) will support large-scale simulations, enabling real-time adjustments. This AI-driven approach will refine flap geometry, enhancing lift, reducing drag, and improving safety.

By integrating AI and HPC, the BR66 will achieve unprecedented aerodynamic precision, resulting in superior handling, efficiency, and pilot experience, particularly in take-off and landing scenarios.
