Four Open Call Webinars were held to provide essential information to SMEs and startups.

Webinars for Business Experiments (Type 1) and Innovation Studies (Type 2) were led by Dr. Guy Lonsdale, CEO of Scapos and Open Call Lead (July 1st) and Dr. Guntram Berti, mathematician and computer scientist from scapos (July 8th) .

These webinars addressed European SMEs and Start-ups, as well as supporting organisations (e.g., research institutes, universities, ISVs, IT providers) interested in solving business challenges and advancing with the help of HPC and AI, or developing and customising LLM models with generative AI.

Participants had the chance to ask additional questions and discuss their opportunities for applying to the respective Open Calls.

SMEs and Start-ups could be supported by National Competence Centers

The National Competence Centres (NCCs) are the central points of contact for HPC and related technologies in 32 European countries, offering valuable support to industry (also to academics and public institutions) to foster the uptake of HPC. Furthermore, NCCs could support SMEs and Start-ups to access state-of-the-art HPC infrastructure, including EUROHPC JU machines -  ideally, EuroHPC systems will be used for the work.
